Sport Et Citoyennete (3S)

Sport and Citizenship is a European independent and apolitical think tank dedicated to the analysis of sport policies and the study of sport’s societal impact. Founded in Brussels in 2007 following the European Commission’s White Paper on Sport, it brings together a multidisciplinary network of experts, institutions, and stakeholders from across Europe. Its work focuses on producing evidence-based research, fostering dialogue between public authorities and the sport movement, and supporting the development of informed sport policies at local, national, and European levels. The organisation is widely recognised for its expertise in understanding and measuring the social impact of sport, particularly in areas such as inclusion, education, health, citizenship, and sustainable development.

Within the SHIA project, Sport and Citizenship contributes expertise in stakeholders mapping and engagement, academic research, and policy analysis, while supporting the translation of project results into actionable recommendations for public authorities and sport organisations, ensuring broad impact and uptake across European sport ecosystems.
