University Industry Innovation Network (UIIN) is a Netherlands-based global knowledge network dedicated to helping universities and R&D-intensive organisations become more entrepreneurial, innovative and engaged. Through research, professional training, institutional development and international knowledge exchange, UIIN supports higher education institutions in strengthening university-industry collaboration, entrepreneurship, research valorisation and societal engagement. UIIN also convenes one of the field’s flagship global gatherings: the UIIN Conference, a key global event for university-industry collaboration that brings together more than 500 attendees from all continents and convenes over 150 speakers across topics such as entrepreneurial universities, strategic partnerships, innovation ecosystems and the evolving role of higher education in society.
In SHIA, UIIN leads WP3, coordinating the design and implementation of the project’s educational and acceleration model. This includes the development of the innovation and entrepreneurship training curriculum, methodological guide, workshops, mentor training and impact evaluation, ensuring that SHIA’s capacity-building activities are evidence-informed, practice-oriented and aligned with international good practice in university-industry engagement.
